It usually hits me when things are going pretty well, when I’m in rest and digest mode. I get this overwhelming sense that I might have missed something or I get fomo, that’s usually when I decide to make a Big Change. Like now.
The Autumn Equinox's feels like a pretty good time to draw a line under a beautiful, challenging and fulfilling chapter of boat living, teaching yoga and playing music but we have decided to sell the boat and relocate to Lincolnshire to be closer to family.
I have been teaching yoga at two incredible studios for the past few years (over 1000 hours’ worth) and this week I’ll teach these last few classes, hug all my student and say goodbye, some of which were beginners when they started with me. It will be sad but honestly, I am ready for change. (Hit Play on the Chocolat movie soundtrack with Johnny Depp.)

Why the sudden change?
A little to do with intuition and a lot to do with the passing of time. Routine is good, it’s helpful and productive, the downside is getting stuck in one. If you asked me a year ago what the plan was I’d say I was happy with how things were going. But eventually Life Happens, you get the itch, a niggle in your soul, and you realise that it’s up to You to make the first move. Nothing changes until you do.
Here is my little list of reasons why it may be time for you to mix it up too:
5 signs it’s time for a change in your life
Soul niggle. That’s your intuition btw trying to get through but unfortunately you’ve been too busy watching reels on Insta to notice. Time to delete the app.
Burnout / Fatigue. Yip, I’m exhausted too, maybe it’s all that screen time or maybe you have just fallen out of love with what you have been spending time on.
Boredom. I feel like what’s really going on here is a fear of failure, not wanting to start a project in case it doesn’t turn out the way we had hoped so instead I’ll not do it and just be bored.
Writers Block. Not being fully present and having pre-conceived ideas about what something should turn out like, super unhelpful. Flow is the opposite to this, how do we get back to flow? Change it up!
Negative self talk. Really unhelpful stuff but all of us suffer with it. If you notice it getting more prevalent you may want to get you Colours done. That’s what I hope Santa gets me for Christmas.
Here is to Letting Go and Embracing the new season! ✨
